Her heart aches for his two girls. Their young lives have been touched by too much sadness. They need her and she finds that she most desperately needs them.
Fairytales can take shape in the most unlikely of places!
A heartwarming story of love, trust and healing.
Nerissa Meadows, a cancer survivor, earns the position of nanny to Liam Byrne’s two daughters, Amelia and Brianne. It wasn’t long before she finds her own place in their home… and in Liam’s heart. They struggle with their misplaced attraction, rendering the both of them helpless in it. Liam trusts Nerissa to look at his badly scarred face while Nerissa grapples to make it clear to him that she sees him beyond his scars… just when everything is falling into place, they find out that Nerissa’s past that had been haunting her was not, in actuality, left in the past.
Sarah Brocious clearly gave a piece of her heart in this modern day fairy tale. I enjoyed this story very much. It’s impossible not to see the author’s passion in this moving tale between two people whose scars run deep and how they overcome them.
The side characters played big roles in Nerissa and Liam’s coming together. Nerissa’s family: an overprotective brother and an overbearing mother; Liam’s family: an insolent, happy-go-lucky brother and two lovable little girls. The two have excellent, fantastical relationships they have with them. Also Liam’s right hand man, Stewart and the family cook, Mary.

About this author
Sarah Brocious was born February 27th 1978 into a steadily growing family. She is one of eight siblings. Growing up in a “crowded” home gave her a great need to slip away for some time alone. In those times she chose to read or write…even at a very young age. From the time she could put sentences together, she found no greater joy than creating stories. This desire continued to grow but as does often happen…life got in the way. Her love for writing did not diminish. It was pushed aside for a time. Now in her thirties she has decided to put her “need to” aside and give into the “want to” So far there are three books to her name; “More than Scars”, “Provocation” and a first in a series “The Awakening” (Wake Up series) There is much she wants to share in the future…so this is just the beginning!
