Solid Stone: Revolving Door by EG Patrick is her first book in her new series about Violet Cole, an innocent paralegal, and Adam Stone, a controlling and successful lawyer who bump into each other by chance going through a revolving door to a building. A spark ignites between them and after further encounters, they soon find themselves drawn into a relationship where they begin to explore their hidden desires together.

Violet is an intriguing heroine. For years, she’s been fantasizing about being submissive to an ancient prince and even has named her fantasy-self Gia. As a couple, Violet and Adam have great chemistry and they definitely go on an emotional roller coaster together which as a reader I enjoyed even when I wanted to shake the main characters in frustration.

Overall, this novel is well-written and filled with sexual scenes that both heat the pages, as well as, further the story in regards to the connection between Violet and Adam. I recommend this book and look forward to the next book.

Synopsis:

23811342Miss Primrose needs to be punished.

A member of the wickedly wanton Inn of the Red Chrysanthemum, where the most taboo and illicit pleasures are indulged, Miss Primrose—or Mistress Primrose, as she prefers—left Nicholas Edelton a shell of a man. Now his older brother, Spencer Edelton, the Marquess of Carey, intends to provide her a set-down she will never forget.

Weary from exacting her revenge upon the man who raped her sister, Beatrice Primrose has had her fill of men of privilege and presumption, but she accepts a fateful invitation from a handsome nobleman to spend a sennight at his estate for a grand sum of money. She soon learns, however, that she will not get to reprise her role as Mistress. To her horror, she finds his lordship expects her to submit to him!

But Beatrice won’t give in so easily.

In a clash of wills, fueled by vengeance and lust, Lord Carey and Miss Primrose wrestle for dominance in, and out of, the bedchamber. Their biggest struggle, however, may be against their own desires…

Can Miss Primrose take what she dishes? And will Lord Carey succumb or succeed in punishing Miss Primrose?

READER ADVISORY: Punishing Miss Primrose is an erotic historical romance with BDSM elements. It was originally written as a serial of short stories. This complete set contains all 20 parts and is equivalent to a “super novel” length at 145,000 words and over 500 pages.

Punishing Miss Primrose is the ULTIMATE guilty pleasure. Lovers of historical romance/fiction and erotica, and want it in one package then this book is definitely for YOU. This is the compiled version of the serial Red Chrysanthemum.

Beatrice Primrose assumed the role of a Mistress at Red Chrysanthemum in order to exact her revenge on Nicholas and William Edelton who had raped her younger sister, Charlotte, which resulted in her death during childbirth.

Nicholas’ older brother, Spencer Edelton, the Marquess of Carey, decided to give her the set down that she deserved for the way she treated Nicholas and William. He paid an amount of money to exact his own revenge for one whole week. Miss Primrose thought she would dominate him but she would soon learn otherwise…

Em Brown is a phenomenal writer, I simply adore her writing with the exception of her tendency to use big, complex words which I thought was quite unnecessary. I understand that not everyone will appreciate the length of the book and that the story is drawn out but I enjoyed it A LOT which is why I described this as a “guilty pleasure”. I have been craving for historical erotica novels fairly recently and I found everything I wanted/needed in this book.

It was really hot, definitely intense and not for readers who are not into erotic novels with BDSM elements or find it offensive as some scenes are bordering the line of taboo as well.

I look forward to reading more from Em Brown. Hopefully she decides to write a full length novel or novella as I’m selfish and not particularly fond of serials. Lol 😉

This book is the continuation of the story of Julian Markham and Ivy Leavold.

Click here to read my review of the first installment of the series–The Awakening of Ivy Leavold.

Mr Markham (for some reason Mr Markham sounds way more delish and wicked) had asked Ivy to be his wife, despite his second wife–her cousin–having only died a couple of months ago. It was no secret that the marriage did not work out, and there were still talks circulating around that he killed her, but Mr Markham didn’t care. Ivy was the only one who counted, and he didn’t want to live without her.

But Ivy still needed answers in regards to her cousin’s death, but Mr Markham had made her promise not to ask him about it. Her feelings had grown stronger and more solid, but she still feared him. If she married him, would she end up getting killed herself?

Another great installment of the Markham Hall series. Half of this book is made up of sex scenes. I kid you not. And you know what? I LOVED IT. There were some serious delicious scenes right here. Especially the punishment scene… that was so hot. But be warned, the punishment scene here most people would find quite offensive.

And holy crap, what an ending. Naturally, I started the next book in the series immediately after! Really I cannot get enough of Mr Markham and Ivy!

Sierra Simone is officially my new go-to erotica author. Why? Because a) she writes such enigmatic characters; b) she writes so deftly; and c) she writes the most awesome sex scenes ever with an effective plot to go along with it, and it was just what I need and what I was looking for. I SWEAR this book is one of the hottest books I have ever read. While it was very hot and very explicit, it was nowhere near close to trashy or tasteless, it was very well written.

Ivy Leavold had lost her zest for life when her parents died, and when her brother died leaving her also bereft, alone and homeless, she had no choice but to accept the offer of her cousin’s widow.

Markham Hall was a dark and broody place, representing its master, Julian Markham. Twice widowed, Mr Markham was rumoured to be responsible for both his wives deaths.

Even then, Ivy was helpless in her feelings this brooding man evoked from her. Lust. Thrill. Fear. She soon learned the art of carnal acts within the circle of his arms, all the while the mystery of her cousin’s death niggled at the back of her mind.

I DEVOURED this book. I couldn’t keep away from my Kindle when I started it. I had no idea what this book was about when I started it. All I knew it was Erotic Historical Romance, and when those three terms are used as a single phrase I knew I had to read it no matter what.

Julian Markham. Wowow, this Hero. Handsome, hot, lustful, broody and tortured AF. I simply cannot resist this type of Hero. I love a man with lesser morals. I love that he could not resist Ivy, that even though he knew it was wrong he still went ahead and did it. Ivy was a virgin, an innocent PERIOD. He didn’t just seduce her, he took advantage of her and her feelings for him. He knew this and yet he wasn’t sorry for it.

Written in 1st person POV, I love being in Ivy’s head, although I’m quite curious to learn Markham’s side of the story. Ivy was an interesting character, to say the least. We get to join her on her journey from a young woman who was more or less lost in this world to a woman who learned lust, love and being reckless, throwing everything on the line for a man who proved to be dangerous–in more ways than one.

I cannot get enough of this series. As I’m writing this, I’m already a quarter past through the third book. It’s quite addictive!

Synopsis:

19132895From the moment she laid eyes upon him, Marley knew in her heart that James was not just another client, and the difference wasn’t even the large sum of money he offered in return for a single night of submission. No, what set him apart was the fact that when she called James “daddy,” it was her own heart which beat faster and her own body which ached with need.

After that night, Marley does her best to put all thought of him behind her, using the huge payday he provided to get on her feet again and start over… until James knocks on her door and walks right back into her life. He makes her a simple offer: if she will live with him and submit to him whenever he wishes, he will provide for her every desire.

Even before she accepts his offer, Marley knows that what she truly wants is not money or clothing or even a fancy new car. What she longs for is a daddy who will give his little girl what she really needs… a daddy who will spank her bare bottom when she is naughty, tie her up and take her any way he pleases, and then cuddle her until she falls asleep in his arms.

Can she dare to hope that James will be that daddy?

Publisher’s Note: Daddy Morebucks is an erotic novel that includes spankings, graphic sexual scenes, elements of age play and BDSM, and more. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.

This is my first ever D/bg read and I’m not sure if I read this for the shock factor or something else. I also didn’t know what to expect. On top of that, this is my first Normandie Alleman read. I also don’t know the dynamics of a Daddy/baby girl relationship. I’ve drawn a blank.

It was an interesting read, to say the least. Think, Kinky Pretty Woman… or in this case, baby girl. Ha. It’s nice to go out of your comfort zone every now and then. I was squirming the entire time I was reading this book! Character wise, I had a hard time liking Marley – mainly her attitude – but I can’t say the same for her Daddy, James. I really liked him.

Despite my reservations, all in all, it was a good steady-paced read with some scorching BDSM scenes too, and I really enjoyed the author’s writing. I will definitely read more from this author. buy2._V192207737_

This was a quick, but very smexy read. Part 1 of a short story serial, Sinsual Torture follows the seriously lethal lady Kate as she trails a target at an upscale party. It just happens her target is smokin’ hot.

Slate won’t be an easy get for her, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t get lucky. *wink*

This short story is rather hot and both the hero and heroine are quite likable and more than a little dangerous. A perfect diversion for my commute home from work.

An angel and a demon fight over the soul of a rockstar named Cash. This is a wickedly interesting, hot, quick read and I enjoyed it thoroughly, especially that twist near the end! I adore this particular author’s writing style and clever plot twists.

Jae T. Jaggart is someone you have to watch out for in M/M Romance genre. I know I will!

About this author
I’ve been an artist, a web designer, and a really unreliable cook. I love to write wicked hot erotic romance with fiercely passionate, alpha characters, and love tatts, film and fast cars. And judging by that last trio, I’m also extremely shallow!

I am a huge fan of authors who write those magic books you just can’t put down, brilliant comedians (hello Eddie Izzard and Russell Brand!) and spoilers. Spoiler alert, bah humbug!
