I’ve had a fallout from Contemporary Romance. In fact, before I read this book, I actually told myself I will never read another Contemporary Romance book for the next year or so–then Elizabeth Brown ruins it and publishes this book, then I fell in love this book; didn’t expect it, didn’t expect to love this book so much, and most especially didn’t expect it to be something more than what it seems.

Ainsley is suffering from a condition and she’s determined to break through it so she can move on and finally settle in a normal and healthy relationship with someone. Enter Lambo, manwhore extraordinaire. Lambo is everything you want in a book boyfriend. He is hot, rocks the sheets, witty AF, but more than that, sweet as sin. He always had the hots for Ainsley (and vice versa) and when the opportunity presents itself to get tangled (naked!) with Ainsley, naturally, he takes it. He knew it was wrong, Ainsley is his best friend’s little sister and he needed to back off, but the more time he spent with Ainsley, he finds himself deeper and deeper until she’s under his skin…

This book. Wow. Loved it. I already said it above but I couldn’t help but say it again.

Honestly, I’m not a fan of manwhore heroes. I’m so over them, but Lambo was just too charming and I couldn’t resist falling a little for him.

Ainsley. Now, I don’t know where to start. Ainsley is the star of the show for me. My heart reached out to her. I don’t know what else to say, except that she’s a character that will surely stick with me for a very long time.

Overall, great read, great characters, great plot. Highly recommended! I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

This book is more than just a book for me and Elizabeth knows that, but that’s between me and her. 😉

Innocent Christmas by Alexa Riley is a sweet and very sexy erotic romance that will have you both heating under the collar with its heady dose of lovemaking and smiling at the absolute cuteness that is Haley and William.

Book three in Ms. Riley’s Innocent Series, Innocent Christmas can be read as a standalone, but I definitely recommend reading Owning Her Innocence and Innocent Getaway. You don’t want to miss a delectable moment between Daddy William and his Little Girl Haley (though DD/lg play may not be everyone’s cup of tea, I think it is worth giving it a try), especially because it all leads to the pinkest Christmas wedding you’ll ever be invited to.

At the start of the story, William and Haley have been together for a while, full-time DD/lg, and both couldn’t be happier. Haley has been planning their Christmas wedding for months. Now it’s finally close, only a day away, and Haley is feeling needy for a pleasurable spanking from her Daddy William. This starts the many hot frolics between the two main characters on their way to becoming man and wife, culminating at their wedding night, and ending with a satisfying epilogue. I happily enjoyed every minute of this story.

Haley and William are great characters. Reading from book one to this last installment, I liked their growth, especially from Innocent Getaway to Innocent Christmas, as a couple: gaining confidence in each other (individually and as a couple) and in their chosen lifestyle. It made this third story in the series all the more satiating.

Overall, Innocent Christmas was a delightfully steamy read that I very much recommend. Looking forward to reading more from Ms. Riley.

Snow and Mistletoe by Alexa Riley has everything I love about a holiday-themed erotic romance. It has a sexy hero that makes not only the heroine want to swoon but readers as well (at least this reader…when you get near the end you’ll know why), a heroine that I can feel for and relate to, heat and chemistry between the main couple, but most of all- the warm and happy feeling one loves about the season wrapped all together in this sweet Christmassy story.

Noelle is an audiobook reader who has been hired by Alex Lockwood to be the voice for the steamy romance audiobooks his company assists with. Speaking with Alex over the phone daily and listening to him, she’s fallen for him sight unseen.

Claiming the Boss is the final installment in Vickie Valentine’s Billionaire Obsession Series, and it does a great job of wrapping things up.

This short story/novelette is a bit of a whirlwind, starting off in the bedroom with Damon, Samantha, and some kinky times before the happy couple finds themselves torn apart. I won’t get into what happened and how or if it was resolved, but I will say I really felt the for each party involved. The emotions were very well written and I had my fingers crossed for an HEA despite how bleak it looked for them.

As someone who doesn’t typically go for contemporary romance, I’ve found that short, sexy stories really work for me. The Billionaire Obsession Series is perfect for my preferences in this genre.

This wasn’t my first Joely Sue Burkhart read so I’m familiar with her way of storytelling but I have to be honest, I was completely blown away by this book! I firstly The Horse Master of Shanhasson (Click here to read my pretty basic review), so I had some expectations.

The author did not merely meet them, but she had indeed exceeded them!

I’m usually a speed reader, but this book I knew I had to read slowly as to savor this reading experience. Literally at the first page, I was completely hooked. Also, I’m more than surprised that this book has not garnered the attention that it actually deserves!

The author had weaved a unique vast dominion where the kingdoms are currently in chaos. Shannari, the last daughter of the Blessed Lady and is the rightful Queen of the Green Lands, but her magic is crippled and she finds herself helpless against the other scheming individuals vying for a place on the throne. She then feels that the Blessed Lady had forsaken her when Rhaekar, the Khul of the Sha’Kae al’Dan, and his Nine Blood steal her away back to their camp

Her writing style, completely poetic, left me mesmerized as the events unfolded. She created characters with depth, characters impeccably developed. The worldbuilding… just wow.

Shannari’s journey doesn’t end at the last page. I look forward to reading the rest of the series and anticipate what will happen on the journey back to Shanhasson.

A few days later, I’m still overwhelmed at what I had experienced this book. I highly recommend this to Epic/Dark Fantasy lovers and Romance lovers alike. This book is not for the squeamish, however. 🙂

This, I think, is my 4th or 5th Femdom read. While I have no aversion to it whatsoever, it’s just not my kink or it’s just not a theme that I would be eager to read. In fact, I didn’t read the blurb when I started reading it which I was very glad to do, because if I knew the premise of the story beforehand, that might not have ended up loving this book!

Beauty and the Beast get kinky… and Beauty wields the whip. 😉 Harvey lost his parents in an accident where he also almost died. The spoiled rich playboy turned into a recluse as a result, shutting himself away with scars inside and out. Nothing will console Harvey, especially not Maxwell’s niece who cleans the house in skimpy maid outfits. Mistress Kelsey will do anything to crack his defenses and help him heal… through pain.

This isn’t my first Joely Sue Burkhart read. Having read this, I noticed now that she doesn’t just create stories for the sake of kink, instead her stories will throw you headfirst into a series of emotions with bonus kinky scenes that were tastefully written.

The characters are more than just well-developed, dealing with their lives pragmatically just like you and I would have done. They were also consistent throughout the book.

I definitely love her writing style. I could call it smooth, easygoing. Her way of writing hooks you into the world she’d created.

This book is also an excellent gateway to Femdom books. I wasn’t scandalized at all and even enjoyed the scenes!

Overall, great great great book! Looking forward to reading more of this author’s work. Highly recommended! 🙂

It may be a (very) short story, but it clearly has depth and it was hot too! Jess Michaels’s writing style is exemplary and I was left wanting to more about Amelia and Stephen.

I have to be honest, I was almost quick to dismiss this book. I’ve read a number of books with the same story line before, handsome billionaire meets beautiful young woman, yadda yadda, but I was still curious to see how this story will turn out. Before jumping into this series, I first read The Lessons which I had thoroughly enjoyed so I proceeded to read Determined.

Samantha Sharp was a beautiful woman, down to earth and hardworking. It was no surprise that she caught a certain devastatingly handsome man’s eye. His name was David Keith and he has no qualms being aggressive in pursuing her. He was not in her plans, but her attraction to him was impossible to dismiss or ignore and when they meet again the next night, she surrendered herself to him.

And so it began.

My first impression of Samantha was that she was nothing overtly special, except for her looks. I couldn’t find anything particular about why David would be so attracted to her. But as I continued to read on, I was wrong. We get to know more about her throughout the book as her and David’s relationship progressed.

But overall, while the book was a pleasant read, there was nothing in it that had evoked emotions from me. Not enough twists and turns but it did hold my interest.

So this is where it all ends.

We were left with questions in our minds with the way book 2 was concluded. WHAT?! How? Why? Who? We get our answers in Determined to Win. I thought that this was a great ending to a first series from a new author. What started out as an okay-read turn into something more!

There were lots of twists in this installment that was missing from the first two books in the series, some that I didn’t even suspect! I guess the author has been holding back on us from the start, eh? 😉

To be honest this particular series isn’t my fancy since I’m so over the billionaire trope ages ago, but this author did a good job with holding my interest (as you can see, I can be a snob – lol) and I managed to get through the entire series in a short time.

I can tell as early as now that Ms Elizabeth Brown has more in store for us and I’d definitely keep a lookout for her future titles!

A spicy, yet quirky and romantic, all at the same time!

First and foremost, I really enjoyed this novel; my first read from this author. I’m usually one to stay away from erotic romance novels written in 1st POV (I know, it’s this weird quirk of mine) so I was a little bit weary at first – but then I was pleasantly surprised with how very easy it was for me to get myself lost in the story. I found this a fun and sexy read, unique because I haven’t read any books with a sex surrogate for a Hero. 😉

The POVs alternated between Natalie and Ryan and there I found both of them quite endearing, although Natalie is definitely a character to remember. It was fun being inside her head and I find myself relating to her on many occasions! Ryan, the sex god – err, I mean the sex surrogate, is a force to be reckoned with – Natalie didn’t stand a chance! The chemistry between Natalie and Ryan was totally electrical.

The story overall was good and quite thrilling, I remember having cracked up a few times while reading it. Mostly, it’s because of Natalie and her quirks!

I highly recommend this book to all erotic-romance lovers out there! 🙂

Been a while since I read a good M/M romance. Jordan and Rick sparked my interest in Handling Cynthia. This had been quite a quick read for me, took me no more than a couple of hours. I was quickly absorbed in the story. I found it well-written and flowed quite nicely. I adored all characters too, but there were times that I wanted to bash Rick in the head with my Kindle. 😉 The sex scenes were also hot hot hot!
